Fraser Gilchrist recommends the Ardbeg Uigeadail. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch party of the Ardbeg Uigeadail so maybe that is why I have a place in my heart for this powerful dram. Its a deep smokey whisky and though they use only a small proportion of aged shery casks it has a hint of fruit cake on the palate which works tremendously well
