When Malcolm Greenwood wrote his first book "A Nip Around the World" on his travels as a whisky salesman, he was unaware that a hundred years ago Tommy Dewar had done exactly the same thing. Tommy's book, A Ramble Round the Globe, was published in 1904 and having been inspired by that work, Greenwood then decided to follow in Dewar's footsteps in an attempt to recreate his trip of 1898. Dewar took years to complete his trip - Greenwood a mere six weeks!
A Ramble Round the Globe Revisited is the result and it takes the reader from Speyside in Scotland to Boston, New York, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco and on to Hawai'i, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, China and Hong Kong before finally returning home to a well-earned rest
