Dufftown, Banfshire is the home of this most famous distillery. Built by an ex manager of the nearby Cardhu distillery on the slopes of the Conval Hills in 1886. He used his own hands (with some help from his family) to construct the original building. Money was begged and borrowed to fund the building which is now the most visited distillery in Scotland having received its 1 millionth visitor in the late eighties. A rich intriguing malt, still fairly smooth but a healthy sherry taste lingers. Smell it, taste it and work out your aromas, you will find it a very pleasurable experience.
