Scotfest 2009 - Alva, Clackmannanshire

ScotFest was a one day festival, held in Alva, Central Scotland on September 20th, to highlight just some of the amazing food and drink produced in Scotland as well as celebrating a range of talented designers within Arts and Design.

They hand-picked their exhibitors to ensure there was a broad mix of specialities to be enjoyed on the day and we were specially invited to offer our award winning whiskies to the crowds in attendance

Visitors had the opportunity to meet the Designers who happily discussed their methods and inspiration for their designs. All Food & Drink exhibitors had free tastings so that you could sample all that they had to offer.  I particularly enjoyed the Macaroons from Bougle and the cupcakes from Liggy's Cake Company (Cupcake Heaven).

The toughest part of the day was trying to decide what you should buy and how much you could carry home!

As the weather in Scotland is so unpredictable they very cleverly ensured that all exhibitors were in fully covered marquees, so that even if the weather turned against us you would still be in the warm and dry! I'm pleased to say that the weather was very pleasant indeed and helped everyone enjoy the day to its fullest

ScotFest was held in Central Scotland as it was felt that there was a real need for the area to play host to a festival such as this and to date, it just hadn't happened.  I am very pleased that the organisers chose to put on such an event and also very humbled that they sought us out to take part.

It truly was a great event, well organised, full of fun and packed with tasty treats.  We will certainly return
