Ballindalloch, Banffshire is the home of this whisky which can be found close to the river Spey near Granton on Spey. This was the first of the famous Speyside distilleries to take advantage of railway transport. From its opening in 1869,the distillery never closed its doors until 1901 when it was reconstructed to its present form. The Craggan Burn, which tumbles down the Craggan More Hill, supplies the water to this historic distillery.
A firm rounded body, a strong malty taste with hints of sweet wood smoke and sandalwood. A maltiness gives way to a light smoke and hints of sweetness
For this special release the Master Distiller has selected a small number of casks for DOUBLE MATURING in port wine cask wood, adding succulent deep notes to the rare finesse of this great Speyside Malt
